General Academic / Mathematics Scholarship

For students entering Years 5, 7 & 9

The General Academic / Mathematics Scholarship will involve a 50% remission of Academic Tuition fees.

Students applying for a General Academic / Mathematics Scholarship will be consistently high academic achievers and will demonstrate exceptional results in the Edutest testing process.  Interviews will be conducted as part of the selection process for shortlisted candidates.

Students must either be Australian citizens or holders of a PERMANENT Resident's Visa at the time of this application.  If you are uncertain as to the status of your visa, please contact the School to confirm your eligibility.

Music Scholarships - Instrumental

For students entering Years 4, 5, 6, 7 & 9

The Music Scholarship will involve a 50% remission of Academic Tuition fees and a 100% remission of music tuition fees on your offered instrument when lessons are taken in the School, together with a 100% remission of AMEB Theory tuition up to Grade 6 (Group Lessons).

Rathfarnham Scholarships are open to students entering Years 4, 5 & 6 with minimum AMEB Grade 4 for Piano, other instruments Grade 3.

Year 6 Brass & Woodwind Scholarships are open to students entering Year 6 only with a minimum of Grade 3 on any Brass or Woodwind Instrument

Senior School Scholarships are open to students entering Year 7 & 9 with minimum AMEB Grade 6 for Piano, other instruments Grade 5.

Applications without supporting documentation will not be considered.  Please return any information you may wish to include in support of your application, including the student’s two most recent school reports and the relevant AMEB Music examination reports prior to 4 February 2022.

Music scholarships will be awarded on the basis of an audition.  Students must also satisfy standard Loreto Toorak entrance requirements.

Students applying for a Music Scholarship will be consistently high academic achievers, should achieve a high level of academic results in the Edutest testing process and the audition.  Students must also satisfy standard Loreto Toorak entrance requirements.

Candidates will be required to attend an audition on Sunday 20 February 2022 and provide their own accompanist. Candidates will be asked to:

·         Perform two contrasting pieces up to 10 minutes in total (per instrument, as applicable)

·         Sight read a piece of music (at the appropriate level)

·         Undertake aural tests

Sr Ruth Winship Scholarships (Means Tested Academic Scholarship)

For students entering Years 7 & 9

Candidates will demonstrate strong academic ability through the Edutest testing process. Interviews will be conducted as part of the selection process for shortlisted candidates.

External Applicants, please complete a Scholarship Application for Enrolment form and supply a copy of the student’s two most recent school reports prior to 4 February 2022.

Criteria

Families of students shortlisted for the Sr Ruth Winship Scholarship will be asked to supply copies of their most recent Tax return(s) and complete the financial questionnaire and Statutory Declaration. Those families applying for a means-tested scholarship must not exceed a combined family income of $80,000 per annum.
