We seek students who are academically well-rounded and who embody the School values of Learning, Spirit and Community.

Academic Scholarships

In line with our commitment to fostering a culture of inquiry for knowledge and truth, Academic Scholarships at Fahan School are designed to fuel the pursuit of excellence through the cultivation of curiosity, creativity, initiative, and innovation in our students' academic endeavours.

Academic Scholarships are open to students entering into Years 10 and 11 in 2026, with Years 7, 8 and 9 2026 available to current or confirmed Fahan students only. New students awarded a scholarship will receive a remission of between 25% to 50% of tuition fees, with current students eligible to receive a 25% tuition fee remission.

Please refer to the Scholarship Process below for more information.

  1. All applicants must register for the Edutest scholarship examination by Friday 14 March 2025.
  2. All applicants must complete and return the Academic Scholarship Application Form to the School at scholarships@fahan.tas.edu.au including two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results by Friday 14 March 2025.
  3. Applicants must sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9:00am on Saturday 22 March 2025. Results of the test will be evaluated alongside the information on the Academic Scholarship Application Form submitted by each candidate.
  4. Successful applicants will be notified by telephone and email.  An interview with the Principal will then be arranged to discuss the expectations of a scholarship recipient at Fahan.
  5. Acceptance of a scholarship is required within seven days of receipt of an offer.
  6. Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified as soon as possible following the assessment of applications.

Please note: Scholarships are open to Australian Permanent Residents ONLY, are awarded at the discretion of the School and the School’s decision is final. Scholarships vary in the percentage of tuition fee discount offered and do not cover additional costs such as uniforms, textbooks, levies or any other co-curricular activities such as music and sporting lessons. Normal enrolment fees apply.
