Our process and model are very similar to American College applications, where only the student prepares and creates the submission. Please find the below information:

Eligibility

Internal (current) and external students in Years 7 – 12 can access Scholarships.
Internal (current) and external students in Years 9 – 12 can access Awards.

Scholarships and Awards are available to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in one or more of the following areas:

  • Academic (results must demonstrate consistent, outstanding record across ALL subject areas; grades 90%+, A–A+, national/international recognition).
  • Performing Arts and Sport/Athletics (results must demonstrate state or national level representation or recognition; AMEB Grade 7+ or equivalent).
  • Spiritual Leadership and/or Community Service (Award application pathway).

Scholarship Applications
All scholarship applicants must submit a personal statement, written solely by the student, outlining why they believe they should be awarded the scholarship applied for. Personal statements are to be no longer than 500 words and must include 2 referees who can provide a character and/or performance reference for the student (internal candidates may select a pastoral teacher). Scholarship applicants must not have received any assistance from any other person, or from any AI tools when writing their personal statement.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship and Award decisions are based on:

  • Academic records and standardised test scores (including results from the academic scholarship exam).
  • Performance in co-curricular fields.
  • Demonstrated Christian character and leadership.
  • Active participation in church and/or community service.
  • The CREST Education scholarship rubric (internal assessment tool).
  • Recommendations and references.
  • External scholarship applicants must submit a College online enrolment form, in conjunction with any scholarship application. Standard enrolment procedure will be followed before a scholarship is offered.

Scholarship & Award Levels

  • Scholarships are awarded in accordance with the selection criteria and recommendations outlined in our internal assessment tool.
  • In areas where students excel in multiple areas, students may be awarded more than one scholarship or in conjunction with an award offer.
  • There are a limited number of scholarships available. There is no set figure of students selected each year, rather, applicants who meet and/or exceed the criteria are selected.
  • The Executive Principal has full discretion and the final decision regarding scholarship offers, while considering the selection criteria, internal assessment tools, student performance, needs of the Colleges, and individual family circumstances.
  • Scholarships offer a tuition fee discounts on family accounts. This aids in the cost of private, Independent Christian education for your family. Amounts of scholarships are confidential and are at the full discretion of our Executive Principal.

Scholarship Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Successful scholarship candidates must sign and agree to the scholarship agreement KPIs to continue their ongoing scholarship. This means that scholarships awarded to students are awarded to them until they finish Year 12, provided they meet and/or exceed the scholarship KPI agreement.

Confidentiality and Privacy

CREST Education will never disclose or discuss one family's financial or enrolment matters with another.
All internal documents used in decision-making are confidential and remain the sole property of CREST Education—they are prohibited to be shared with the applying family or externally.
